What to be thankful for …. ? Well, this will be the best Thanksgiving ever… Sorry Aunt Kathy! “We do miss you”. Here are some early pictures of Emmy on her first day home on Thanksgiving. We are so thankful to have the most beautifully girl in the entire world. Yes, I’m a proud Dad! Wow, I’m so thankful for everything. I have the best family in the world! My parents, Kerri’s parents and my family. What a great day! I’m also thankful to be out of the hospital room too!
Emerson & Ethan finally had some bonding experience today. We have been trying to encourage Ethan to interact with Emerson, however, he didn’t want anything to do with her for the first day. Today, Ethan really warmed up to Emerson and with Monga’s help, was able to discover his new sister Emerson. Here are some Pictures and a Video.

What a great day today! I can’t start explaining how Kerri and I are so blessed to have this great bundle of joy, Emerson. I want to thank all of you for your return comments in all the emails I received. In many of your emails people can’t believe that we have broke the Bryles curse of having boys. I am surprised too. We did have a boys name picked out, Carson, however; I only developed this website to start. Now, it would have only took a few changes to make it www.carsonbryles.com ( I already purchased the domain name). At first I didn’t know what to do with a girl. Then I figured it out real quick. LOVE HER! Kerri and I are overwhelmed with joy and can’t explain the feeling entirely.
The grandparents and Kim are doing great too. We are so lucky to have such a great family. They have been super with the support they have been giving us. Sure, I call them the “vultures” , however, we are just lucky to have a family support system like them. Even though they want to hold Emerson every 2 minutes. We still love them
Ethan was sporting his new “I’m the big brother” shirt when he stopped by this evening. He wasn’t quite sure what to make of the entire situation. It didn’t help that everyone was holding a camera either while he walked in for the first time.. We learned later that was a bad idea. Hindsite is 20/20… After a few minutes he started to warm up to baby Emmy! He knew her name already. Matter of fact, we never told him about the name Carson since Kerri and I where almost certain it was a girl. He noticed she was wearing a hat, and where she slept “Nigh Night”. We did warn him about Mommy’s belly and that she will be in the hospital for a few days prior. It appears from his comments of Kerri’s belly he remember what we have told him already. He still has some warming up to do tomorrow.
Now Kerri is watching “Dancing with the stars”. I am watching this too since I love it so much!!! Not, I’m going to turn on Monday Night Football. Thank you all and good night
Today Emerson Susan Bryles was born at 8:47 a.m. on November 19, 2007. She was 7lbs 0.6oz, 19 1/2 ” long. Mom and Dad are very proud. So far she hasn’t done much beside eat and poop! Ethan has not seen his new sister yet but will soon.
